RailCats Acquire LHP Hanley

GARY, Ind. - The RailCats announced that they have received left-handed pitcher Mike Hanley from the Florence Freedom (Frontier League) in exchange for future considerations. In a corresponding move, the club placed infielder Aljay Davis on irrevocable waivers.

Hanley, 25, was in his third season with the Freedom. In his career, he is 1-0 with a 2.87 ERA and 44 strikeouts in 59 2/3 innings. Hanley was 1-0 with a 3.04 ERA in 2012 and had a 2.57 ERA as a rookie in 2011. Hanley allowed one run in one inning in his lone appearance for the Freedom this season.

Davis started one game for the RailCats and appeared as a pinch-hitter once. He was 1-for-3 with a run scored and a stolen base.
