BOISE, Idaho -The Idaho Steelheads announced Friday retired fan-favorite Cal Ingraham has joined the team as an Assistant Coach. Cal will make his first appearance behind the bench as Assistant Coach Saturday night when the Steelheads face the San Diego Gulls.

"We are delighted to have Cal back on the bench," said John Olver, Steelheads Head Coach and Vice President of Hockey Operations. "He was one of the smartest hockey players to play in West Coast Hockey League (WCHL). His knowledge of the other WCHL teams will help both our players and myself."

Cal officially retired as a player at the conclusion of the 2001-2002 season, and his number (22) was retired at the start of this season. Cal has since been working for Farmers Insurance as a Farmers Agent.

"I'm really excited about getting back involved. The Steelheads organization has been very good to me and my family," Ingraham stated. "This will be a great experience for me. And it will be good to be back on the bench and in the locker room again."

The Steelheads host the San Diego Gulls Friday and Saturday night at the Bank of America Centre. Game time for both games is 7:05pm. Tickets are available by calling 331-TIXS, at any Select-A-Seat outlet, or online at www.idahotickets.com.
