Providence Bruins Assign Metcalf and Paradise to Bullies

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. – The Providence Bruins in the American Hockey League assigned defenseman Peter Metcalf and forward Chris Paradise to the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies in the East Coast Hockey League, it was announced today by Bullies Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Michael Haviland.

Metcalf, the former University of Maine captain, played four seasons with the Black Bears and registered 108 points (24G, 84A) in 182 games. In his first professional season, the Pembroke, Mass., native has earned six points (6A) in 34 games with the P-Bruins.

The 23-year old blueliner was selected by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the ninth round (267th overall) in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft.

Paradise played four seasons at the University of Denver and earned 106 points (48G, 58A) in 150 games. Also in his first professional season, the St. Paul, Minn., native has notched 10 points (4G, 6A) in 38 games with Providence.

Before college, the 6-1, 193-pound winger played two seasons in the United States Hockey League with the Twin City Vulcans in 1996-97 and the Omaha Lancers in 1997-98.

For the Bullies, Metcalf will wear No. 20 and Paradise will wear No. 18.
