Iiro Tarkki Back, Jeff Deslauriers to Anaheim

Syracuse, NY (February 14, 2012) - The Syracuse Crunch have announced today that the Anaheim Ducks have returned goaltender Iiro Tarkki to the Crunch and recalled goaltender Jeff Deslauriers.

Tarkki, 26, made his NHL debut and earned the win in the Anaheim Ducks January 8 game over the Columbus Blue Jackets. Tarkki has played in 28 games for the Crunch this year with a 10-13-3 record. Tarkki has recorded a 2.85 goals-against average and .914 save percentage. Tarkki was signed as a free agent on May 6, 2011 after spending the 2010-11 season with Espoo of the Finnish Elite League.

Deslauriers, 27, made his Anaheim Ducks debut on January 10 when he earned the victory in the Ducks 5-2 win over the Dallas Stars. Deslauriers has appeared in 16 games for the Crunch with a 6-9-0 record. Deslauriers averaged a 3.75 goals-against average and had a .881 save percentage with the Crunch this season. Drafted by the Edmonton Oilers in the second round, 31st overall, of the 2002 NHL Entry Draft, Deslauriers was acquired by the Ducks as a free agent on July 12, 2011.

The Crunch travel to Albany to face the Devils on February 15 and will return to the War Memorial on February 21 to take on the Worcester Sharks.
