Crunch Announce Roster Moves

Syracuse, NY (February 14, 2012) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that left wing John Kurtz and defenseman Nick Schaus have been loaned to Elmira (ECHL).

Kurtz, 22, appeared in six games with the Crunch this season recording one goal and 19 penalty minutes. The Oakville, Ontario, native has played in 61 career AHL games with the Crunch totaling eight points (6g, 2a). Kurtz has played in four games with the Jackals this season going scoreless with 12 penalty minutes.

Schaus, 25, appeared in 22 games with the Crunch this season totaling four points (1g, 3a) and eight penalty minutes. The Orchard Park, NY, native has played in 103 career AHL contests earning 25 points (5g, 20a). Schaus has played in five games with the Jackals this season recording four points, all assists, and two penalty minutes.

The Crunch travel to Albany to face the Devils on February 15 and will return to the War Memorial on February 21 to take on the Worcester Sharks.
