Icehouse ready for a Kool grand opening

Kalamazoo, MI- Wings Stadium, which is also home to "The Annex" and "The Cube," announces their The Icehouse Bar and Grille will have their grand opening this Saturday, September 16th at 5 p.m.

The grand opening is in celebration of the Wings Stadium Complex gaining management of the restaurant that is located in the upper Annex Viewing Area and overlooks The Annex ice. The Icehouse Bar and Grille is a non-smoking restaurant and full bar.

To celebrate the grand opening, The Icehouse Bar and Grille will be having food and drink specials from 5-9 p.m., as well as live entertainment provided by The Travis Willey Experience. Also during the event, The Annex will host a FREE skate from 6-8 p.m. with everyone's favorite mascot, Slappy. Individuals that need skates can rent them for only $2. Members of the 2005-06 United Hockey League Colonial Champion Kalamazoo Wings will also be on hand to award prizes throughout the night. Stadium Management Services owns both the Wings Stadium Complex and the Kalamazoo Wings hockey team. Wings Stadium Complex is comprised of three buildings; Wings Stadium seats more than 5,100 fans for K-Wings home games and more than 8,000 people for concerts and other stage events. The Annex seats 1,367 for ice events and 2,850 for non-ice events such as car, boat, and trade shows. The Cube is the newer of the three facilities, that plays host to both ice and non-ice events. All three buildings are available for rental and feature numerous catering and meeting opportunities.
