
Hogs set charity golf outing

Rockford, Ill.- The Rockford IceHogs, members of the United Hockey League, are hosting a Charity Golf Outing. The event will take place on Monday, Oct. 9 at Timber Pointe Golf Course in Belvidere beginning at 1 p.m. Each foursome will get matched up with an IceHogs player.
All proceeds from the golf outing will be donated to the IceHogs Charitable Foundation. The fee to participate is $150 per person or $600 per foursome. The registration fee includes 18 holes of golf, golf cart, box lunch, chances to win prizes and gifts and refreshments, including beer and hors d' oeuvres after your round of golf. Each foursome will get paired with an IceHogs player after a random drawing prior to the start of the outing.
Companies will also have an opportunity to purchase hole sponsorships for the event. The first sponsorship package is the Big Pig Sponsor for $1,000. This package includes golf for a foursome in the outing, welcome banner, hole sponsorship with signage, signage in the lunch tent and a PA Announcement at the IceHogs Opening Night game against Fort Wayne on Friday, Oct. 13.
You can also participate with the Lil Pig Sponsorship package, which is $250. This package includes hole sponsorship with signage and a PA Announcement on Opening Night.
Registration is currently open for the IceHogs Charitable Foundation Golf Outing. Registration forms can be picked up at the IceHogs office at 202 West State St. Ste. 101 in downtown Rockford. You can also register yourself or your foursome by calling Craig Drecktrah at (815) 222-8669. The deadline to sign up is Friday, Sept. 22.
Check-in and lunch for the outing will begin at 12 p.m. At 12:45 p.m. the foursomes will get matched up with an IceHogs player after a random drawing followed by a 1 p.m. shotgun start. Drinks, hors d' oeuvres, awards and prizes will get underway at 6 p.m.
Season Tickets Now Available: The Rockford IceHogs wrapped up its most successful campaign in club history in 2005-06 and we want you along for the ride in 2006-07.
