
IceHogs wrap up east-coast trip 3-1

Rockford IceHogs News Release
The Rockford IceHogs returned home from its longest road trip of the season, finishing its east-coast swing 3-1-0 and continued to hold down the top spot in the UHL. The Hogs return on Friday after 20 days away from the MetroCentre to open a three game weekend.

Transactions
-Defenseman Dan Boeser was re-assinged to Rockford from Milwaukee on Wednesday, March 8.
-Defenseman Dan Boeser was loaned to the Milwaukee Admirals (AHL) on Tuesday, March 7.
Bacon Bits:
The IceHogs completed its season-long seven-game, 20-day road swing 4-3-0 and went 3-1-0 during its first east coast trip in three years.
Center Olivier Proulx tied an IceHogs record on Wednesday against Elmira when he recorded six points (1g-5a).
Proulx has climbed into second place all-time on the IceHogs scoring list with 125 career points in an IceHogs uniform.
Rockford's 10 goals against Elmira tied a club record as well. The IceHogs netted 10 against the Muskegon Fury on 2/5/00.
Rockford netted 25 goals in the four games out east.
Winger Greg Barber had his club-record tying 12-game point streak come to an end on Friday in Adirondack. Barber proceeded to score five goals in his next two games.
Rockford's power play went 8-for-26 over the weekend, a conversion rate of 30.8%.
The IceHogs climbed to 31-games over .500 for the first time in club-history.
For the first time all season, Rockford has played more road games (31) than home games (30).
With 17 games remaining, the IceHogs are one goal shy of the club record of 246 goals scored in a season.
Hot Hog Week 21:
Center Olivier Proulx continued his second half tear, netting 2g-7a-9pts in Rockford's four games during Week 21. Proulx accumulated 1g-5a-6pts during Wednesday's 10-2 win over Elmira and finished the week with a plus/minus rating of +8
Upcoming Games:
Friday, March 17 vs. Richmond RiverDogs. Game time is 7:05 p.m. The first 1,000 fans to the game will receive IceHogs poster #5 courtesy of Medicine Man, Johnson Press, Pepsi, and Rockford Register Star. It's also the annual airplane toss. A lucky fan will win a trip to Las Vegas for two from Wheels by RT and Allegiant Air. There is also a skate with the IceHogs following the game.
Saturday, March 18 vs. Adirondack Frostbite. The puck drops at 7:05 p.m. The first 1,000 kids 12-and under will receive a replica youth IceHogs jersey from Ameriprise Financial. Also, Molly McMaster will suit up for the IceHogs and become the first female skater to play for the IceHogs as part of the "UHL Cross Checks Colon Cancer" promotion.
Sunday, March 13 at Missouri River Otters. The game begins at 4 p.m. The IceHogs return to the road and travel to the Family Arena in St. Charles, Mo. to take on the River Otters.

Rockford IceHogs fans can catch all IceHogs Regular and Post Season games on Rockford's Voice, WNTA-AM 1330. Fans can also watch and listen to the Hogs on the World Wide Web with the B2 Networks! Log on to the IceHogs Web site (icehogs.com) and click on the "click here to watch the game live" icon, and for just $6, you can catch all of the IceHogs action on your computer. New to the network this season is ESPN Radio "The Jock" 1380 AM. The Jock will broadcast 20 Hogs games during the regular season. Check your local listings. Also, fans with Insight Cable television can tune in to Channel 57 for all the IceHogs hockey action this season. The broadcast begins with the Pregame Show 20 minutes before the puck drops. No HogTalk Tonight At Shooter's North:
There will be no Miller Lite HogTalk this week due to the IceHogs late arrival from its east-coast swing. HogTalk will return on Monday, March 20 at Shooter's North located at 7742 Forest Hills Road in Loves Park from 6:30-7:30 p.m. WXRX's Jim Stone and Double T host the weekly show. They will be joined by IceHogs Head Coach Steve Martinson and a pair of players who will be on hand to talk about the week that was and the week ahead.
