March 13, 2006 - International Hockey League 2 (IHL 2) News Release

LAKE ST. LOUIS, MO --- Several United Hockey League (UHL) teams are looking to make deals before the UHL trade deadline expires on Tuesday, March 14th at 3:00 PM (EST). Muskegon and Quad City swapped a pair of players during the week as the Fury sent right Jeff Petruic and defenseman Steve O'Rourke to the Mallards in exchange for defenseman Tom Galvin and rookie forward Anthony Blumer. Petruic, O'Rourke, and Galvin all registered a point in their first game for their new clubs.

The Roanoke Valley Vipers sent forward Charlie Elezi and defenseman Erick Lajoie to the Flint Generals for forwards Sean Starke and Simon Rizk on Wednesday. Starke has made an immediate impact as he has three goals in his first three games in a Vipers uniform.

Roanoke also made a major move today as they sent veteran left wing David Beauregard to the Danbury Trashers and received defenseman Frederic Belanger and forward Carlyle Lewis in return. Beauregard currently ranks fifth in the UHL with 76 points (33g, 43a). Belanger has compiled 27 points (5g, 22a) and plus-18 rating in 57 games with Danbury this season.
