IceHogs continue four game week in Iowa tonight

Des Moines, Iowa- There isn't a whole lot of time for the Rockford IceHogs to soak in their 2-1 overtime win over the Grand Rapids Griffins on Monday afternoon. The IceHogs head to Iowa tonight to take on the Chops at the Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines at 7:05 p.m.

Rockford snapped out of a three-game losing streak on Monday with the overtime win, the first OT win of the season for the IceHogs. Rockford enters play tonight tied for second place in the AHL's West Division with 48 points while the Chops are tied for fourth place with 47 points.

The last two meetings with the Chops went Iowa's way as Rockford allowed a total of 12 goals in the two games. Rockford is 2-2-0-0 against Iowa this season and tonight's game is the fifth of ten on the season and third of five in Iowa.

Tonight's game also marks the front end of a home-and-home series against Iowa that will conclude on Friday at the MetroCentre.

Next Home Game: Friday, Jan. 23 vs. Iowa Chops. The puck drops at 7:30 p.m. The IceHogs open a two game home stand before a lengthy road trip when Iowa comes to town. The IceHogs welcome Blackhawks legend Denis Savard to the game and the first 2,000 fans to the game will receive an IceHogs 10th Anniversary poster courtesy of Pepsi, Speedway Auto Mall, Johnson Press, Rasmussen College and Stanley Steemer.
