
Dan Spang Assigned to Las Vegas

Moline, IL- The Quad City Flames announced today that defenseman Dan Spang has be re-assigned to the Las Vegas Wranglers of the ECHL. Spang leaves the Flames after appearing in 30 American Hockey League games this season.
Spang recorded eight points (a goal and seven assists) while skating with the Flames. He spent the previous two seasons as a member of the AHL's Worcester Sharks. Last season, he recorded 31 points (eight goals and 23 assists) in 77 games. As a rookie in 2006-07, Spang appeared in 48 games with Worcester and recorded 25 points on four goals and 21 assists.
Spang played four seasons at Boston University before beginning his professional career in the spring of 2006 with the AHL's Cleveland Barons. His collegiate career featured 146 appearances for the Terriers. He scored 70 points on 20 goals and 50 assists during his time at Boston University.
The Flames are in Milwaukee tonight for a 7:00 p.m. face-off with the Admirals. The game can be heard on 93.9 FM WYEC and qcflames.com beginning at 6:35 p.m. with The Hayman's Ace Hardware Pre-Game Show. Fans can also watch the game for just $6.00 via ahllive.com.
The Flames return home on Saturday, January 31st to face the Milwaukee Admirals. Game time is 7:05 p.m. The first 4,000 fans in attendance will receive a poster featuring 2009 AHL All-Star Brett Palin.
