
Amerks Captain To Answer Fans Questions Via The Ahl.com

(Rochester, NY)... Rochester Americans' defenseman Rory Fitzpatrick will enter the American Hockey League Chat Room to answer fans' questions on Wednesday, January 21st. Fans who have questions for Fitzpatrick are encouraged to send their inquiries, in addition to their name and hometown, to info@theahl.com. The AHL will select approximately 10-15 questions from the fan pool and viewers will be able to read Fitzpatrick's answers on the league's official website, theahl.com.
This season with Rochester, the veteran blueliner has skated in 25 games with the Amerks, recording three goals and six assists for nine points to go along with 16 penalty minutes to bring his career totals to 39 points (13+26) in 146 games in the red, white and blue.
Fitzpatrick returned to his native Rochester, N.Y., for his third stint with the hometown Americans in 2008-09. The 34-year-old defenseman and Amerks captain has played 409 career games in the AHL and 287 more in the National Hockey League over his 14 professional seasons, including parts of four seasons with the Worcester IceCats (1996-2000) during which he participated in the 1997 and 1998 AHL All-Star Classics.
Fitzpatrick played in the 1995 Calder Cup Finals (opposite Helmer) and helped the Amerks capture a regular-season points title in 2004-05. He will captain the PlanetUSA AHL All-Star team.
The 2009 AHL All-Star Classic presented by Charter Communications will feature the 2009 AHL All-Star Skills Competition on Sunday, January 25th (4:00 p.m. ET) and the 2009 AHL All-Star Game on Monday, January 26th (7:00 p.m. ET), and will be televised live nationally in the United States and Canada.
