Crunch Release Goaltender Ryan Munce

Syracuse, NY (January 20, 2009) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that they have released goaltender Ryan Munce from his professional tryout contract.

Munce, 23, has appeared in three games with the Crunch this season, going 0-2-0 with a 2.99 goals against average and .911 save percentage. He has also skated in 23 games with Mississippi this year, going 11-11-0 with a 3.24 goals against average and .918 save percentage.

A native of Mississauga, Ontario, Munce was originally drafted by the Los Angeles Kings in the third round, 82nd overall, in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.

The Crunch's next game is Thursday, January 22 as they travel to Rochester to take on the Americans. The Crunch return home to the War Memorial at Oncenter on Friday, January 23 to battle the Toronto Marlies at 7:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased by calling the Crunch office at 315-473-4444, stopping by the Oncenter Box Office, located on the State Street side of the War Memorial or by calling Ticketmaster at 315-472-0700.
