Carkner And Hamel Launch Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Raffle

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - Binghamton Senators' defenseman Matt Carkner and left-winger Denis Hamel have teamed for the second annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer raffle, with a goal of raising $10,000 to benefit Making Strides Against Breast Cancer.

Like last year's raffle, only 500 raffle tickets are available at a cost of $50 per ticket. Tickets are available at each Binghamton Senators' home game on the concourse.

A total of 10 prizes will be awarded through the raffle, with the Grand Prize once again being $10,000. All ten winning raffle tickets will be drawn at the B-Sens' home game against Albany on Saturday, April 4 during the annual Face Off Against Cancer event.

The prize list is as follows:

Grand Prize $10,000

Second Prize $3,000

Third Prize $2,000

Fifth Prize Laptop computer with custom skin cover, courtesy of Red Barn Computers

Sixth Prize One B-Sens Skybox Night (2009-10 season)

Seventh Prize Two tickets to an Ottawa game (2009-10 season)

Eighth Prize One year membership to Court Jester

Ninth Prize Dinner with Matt Carkner & Denis Hamel

Tenth Prize A sports memorabilia basket with various merchandise

Carkner and Hamel developed the idea last season and were able to raise $10,000 for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer by selling all 500 raffle tickets.
