IceGators to Present Tailgating, Live Music
November 9, 2002 - ECHL (ECHL)
Louisiana IceGators News Release
Fans, there are plenty of reasons to come to the Cajundome Sunday, besides the defending Kelly Cup champion Greenville Grrrowl coming into town for a 4:05 p.m. game.
Tailgating starts at 1 p.m., complete with live music (Boot Hip Joe) and Tony Chachere's Creole Cruiser if you're not cooking outside for yourself and your family.
It's Sportsman's Paradise Night, and the IceGators will be wearing camouflage jerseys, to be auctioned off at Bennigan's after the game. Anyone wearing camouflage to the box office prior to the game will get a $5.75 third-level ticket. Don't forget your duck calls!
Also, pro wrestler Hacksaw Jim Duggan will be holding the colors for the National Anthem, to be sung by the first contestant in IceGators Idol, a musical competition based on the show American Idol.
Last, but certainly not least, the IceGators will be giving away a trip to Mississippi to see the team play the Sea Wolves on Saturday, Nov. 30, including a hotel room!
