
Chiefs Lose to Reading

Johnstown, PA- It took the Reading Royals six games to win at the War Memorial, as they handed the Johnstown Chiefs their second loss in a row, a 4-2 defeat Saturday night. The Royals were 0-5-0 at the War Memorial last season.
The Chiefs jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first period as they got goals from Jason Spence and Sam St. Pierre. It would be all Reading from there as they scored three goals in the second period with Brian McCullough, Kris Waltze and Tom Rouleau all tallying for the Royals. Alex Kim would add a third period goal.
Royals goaltender Scott Fankhouser made 32 saves, while Chiefs goaltender Dany Dallaire made 18 saves.
The Chiefs fall to 5-7-0 on the season, while Reading improves to 8-6-1.
The Chiefs are the road tomorrow when they travel to Lexington to face the Men O'War at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday night the Chiefs will face the Cincinnati Cyclones, in Ohio at 7:00 p.m.. The Chiefs will return to home ice Friday night at 7:30 p.m. when they take on the Toledo Storm.
