IceDogs Fall to Colts 1-0 in Pre-Season Action

August 31, 2018 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL)
Niagara IceDogs News Release

The Niagara IceDogs got their first taste of pre-season action tonight as they took to the ice in Thorold against the Barrie Colts in front of a loud home crowd.

Fans in Thorold got their first look at the 2018-2019 IceDogs. The full lineups for both teams can be found here.

The Colts jumped out to an early lead in the first period, but it was the IceDogs who controlled much of the play. Billy Constantinou showed strong second-year confidence wielding his way through the neutral zone and into the offensive zone to create scoring opportunities for his teammates.

The 'Dogs continued to battle against the Colts but couldn't beat the goalie. Recently signed Tucker Tynan came up with several strong saves to keep the score at 1-0. Despite a late push for an equalizer, the 'Dogs couldn't get the goal they needed. The IceDogs fell to the Colts by a goal.

We're back in action in the Niagara Region on September 15th at the Fleming Centre in Beamsville to take on the Kitchener Rangers. Tickets to our final home pre-season game can be purchased here.

Individual tickets are now on sale. Secure your tickets to our home opener, on September 28th against the Kingston Frontenacs before they sell out!
