
Kitchener Rangers Sign Defenceman Arber Xhekaj

The Kitchener Rangers announced today that defenceman Arber Xhekaj has committed to an Ontario Hockey League standard player agreement with the Club.
The 17-year-old, Hamilton, ON native was invited to this week's Training Camp by the Rangers as a free agent after posting 22 points in 46 regular season games as a member of the GOJHL's St. Catharines Falcons in 2017-18.
The Rangers will host the Preseason Showcase at The Aud from August 31 - September 2. For more details on the tournament or how to purchase tickets, click here. Including their three exhibition (Preseason Showcase) games in Kitchener, the Rangers will play two additional exhibition games before the start of the 2018-19 regular season. The Rangers will play a home-and-home with the Niagara IceDogs beginning Friday, September 14 at 7:30pm at The Aud, and the following night, Saturday, September 15 at 7pm in St. Catharines.
The Rangers open the 2018-19 campaign on Friday, September 21 when they host the visiting Flint Firebirds at 7:30pm.
