
OHL Pre-Season Begins with Showcase at Buffalo's Harborcenter

Toronto, ON - For the second straight season Ontario Hockey League players and prospects will help launch the 2018-19 season at Buffalo's Harborcenter as part of a special Pre-Season Showcase over the Labour Day weekend.
The event offers fans and scouts the opportunity to see four OHL teams and eight Under-15 AAA programs compete in one place with a total of 23 games scheduled over three days.
The OHL showcase features the host Erie Otters along with the Flint Firebirds, Hamilton Bulldogs, and Windsor Spitfires each playing a three-game round-robin as part of the league's exhibition schedule which begins Friday and includes a total of 24 games through Monday.
Eight elite U15 AAA teams from across the United States have been invited and split into two pools for a round-robin tournament to coincide with the OHL's showcase weekend. The host Buffalo Jr. Sabres are grouped with the Carolina Jr. Hurricanes, St. Louis AAA Blues, and Syracuse Nationals, with the other group consisting of the Buffalo Regals, Belle Tire, Fox Motors, and TPH Thunder.
Harborcenter has been the four-year home of the NHL Scouting Combine and also hosted 2018 IIHF World Junior Championship games.
Tickets are available and can be purchased online including full weekend passes for $40 or single day admission for $20. Online streams of all showcase games will also be available.
