(Windsor, ON) - The Spitfires have acquired left winger Will Cuylle (COO-lee) from Peterborough, in exchange for a collection of draft picks.
The Petes will receive six picks and a conditional seventh in exchange for the third overall choice in the 2018 OHL Priority Selection: Kingston's 2nd round pick in 2019, Barrie's 2nd in 2022, Kingston's 3rd in 2020, Windsor's 3rd in 2021, Windsor's 3rd in 2023 and Windsor's 5th in 2020, along with Kitchener's 2nd in 2024 (conditional).
"It's an exciting day when you can acquire a big, elite power forward like Will without giving up a player," Rychel said. "He has so many tools, a great shot and a real knack for the net. For now, he will fit in well with our young group moving forward. We expect big things from Will."
The 6'2, 200-pound native of Toronto had nine goals and 12 points overall in six games at the 2018 OHL Cup, after a season with the Toronto Marlboros Midgets AAAs, in which he posted 62 points in 43 regular season games.
He'll join the team tomorrow at the OHL Showcase in Buffalo.
