
Ice win over Hitmen in OT

Calgary, AB - Levi Cable scored 6:05 into overtime giving the Kootenay Ice a 5-4 win over the Calgary Hitmen on Friday night at the Scotiabank Saddledome. The win by the visitors sends the best-of-seven Round 1 WHL playoff series back to Cranbrook with the Hitmen leading 3-2.
Luke Philp was instrumental for the Ice collecting five points with a goal and four assists. Cable finished the game with a pair of goals with Rinat Valiev and Sam Reinhart adding singles.
Radel Fazleev scored twice for the Hitmen who saw leads of 1-0, 2-1 and 4-2 slip away. Jordy Stallard and Kenton Helgesen authored the other Calgary goals.
Kootenay outshot the Hitmen 36-28 and went 2-for-8 on the powerplay. Calgary was 2-for-3 with the extra attacker.
Saturday's Game 6 in Cranbrook will be broadcast online at www.sportsnet.ca/960 and on WHL Live.
