ICE Prevail over Regina

The line of Mikey Milne (two goals), Conor Geekie (two assists) and Zach Benson (two assists) led the Winnipeg ICE to a 4-2 win over the Regina Pats Wednesday night at the Brandt Centre.

Milne's two goals ties him with teammate Connor McClennon for the WHL lead at 23.

Matthew Savoie and Jack Finley also scored as the ICE improve their record to 26-5-2.

Zack Smith and Logan Nijhoff replied for the Pats, who drop to 13-17 and remain three points behind Calgary for eighth place in the Eastern Conference standings.

Winnipeg outshot Regina 32-24. Gage Alexander picked up his 14th victory of the season, while Drew Sim suffered the loss.

The ICE led 3-0 after the first period and 3-2 through 40 minutes.

Winnipeg finished the night 1/3 on the power play. Regina was 0/3.

The ICE continue their four game road trip Thursday night in Swift Current (6:30 on CFRW 1290) against the Broncos.
