VS CALGARY: Tonight will be the fourth of eight meetings between the Tigers and the Hitmen this season. The Tigers are 0-2-1-0 vs the Hitmen this season and 8-10-2-1 over the past five seasons. Medicine Hat will have some new faces in the line-up after being part of a 3-way deal with the Saskatoon Blades and Prince George Cougars on Tuesday. Pavel Bocharov and Brendan Lee will both make their Tigers debut on Thursday night at Co-op Place.

2021-21 WHL RANKINGS: Record (5-19-3-1). Central Div. - 6th. Eastern Con. - 12th. Home (3-7-1-0). Away (2-12-2-1).

VS CENTRAL DIVISION: The Tigers have posted a 4-10-1-0 record this season vs Central Division opponents.

VS EAST DIVISION: The Tigers have posted a 1-9-2-1 record this season vs East Division opponents.

LAST GAME: Oasiz Wiesblatt scored his third of season late in the third period on the powerplay against the Hitmen on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough as Calgary sealed the deal with an empty netter with just under 40 ticks left on the clock. Garin Bjorklund was solid in net stopping 37 of 39 shots sent his way and earning the games 2nd star.

MILESTONES: Corson Hopwo is closing in on his 100th career WHL point. The forward from Duncan, BC needs only 6 points to cross that threshold. Tigers Defenceman Dru Krebs played in his 100th career WHL game on Saturday, December 4th vs Brandon.

PLAYER TO WATCH: Pavel Bocharov was recently acquired by the Medicine Hat Tigers in a 3-way trade with the Saskatoon Blades and Prince George Cougars. Bocharov is a right shot defenseman originally from Escondido, California. The 16-year-old was selected by the Saskatoon Blades in the 8th round of the 2019 WHL Prospect Draft. In 46 career games the 6-foot tall D-man has one goal and seven assists. Bocharov has very good feet which allows him to maintain tight gaps and pinch off line rushes. He shoots the puck with purpose, looking for tips and rebounds.
