LONG BEACH, Calif. – December 20, 2002 – Long Beach Ice Dogs Director of Hockey Operations and Head Coach Kevin Kaminski announced today that the Ice Dogs have acquired center Michal Pinc from the Anchorage Aces in exchange for an undisclosed amount of cash.

Pinc, 21, has played in 23 games with the Idaho Steelheads this season, producing 4-5-9 totals with 31 penalty minutes (PIM). The Steelheads waived Pinc on Dec. 13 before Anchorage claimed him off waivers on Monday.

During the 2000-01 season, Pinc recorded season-highs with 16-46-62 totals and 220 PIM's in 64 games.

Pinc was a fifth round selection (142nd overall) by the San Jose Sharks in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft.
