Express Broadcaster to Call ECHL All-Star Game

ROANOKE, VA – Roanoke Express radio broadcaster and Director of Public Relations Kevin Reiter has been selected as one of the three broadcasters to call the action of the East Coast Hockey League All-Star Game, it was announced by the league today. Reiter will join Jim Kelly of the Mississippi Sea Wolves and David Miller of the Greenville Grrrowl as the radio broadcasters for the game.

Reiter is in his second season as the voice of the Roanoke Express, previously handling those duties during the 2000-01 season. Overall he is in his fifth year of broadcasting professional sports, with three of them in the Roanoke Valley. The Medford, New Jersey native began his broadcasting career with in 1998 with the Wilmington (DE) Blue Rocks Baseball Club. After spending two season's with the Blue Rocks, Reiter accepted the position as the play-by-play announcer of the Salem Avalanche for the 2000 season, and continues to spend his summers calling the action for the Avalanche.

The 2003 Compuware/ECHL All-Star Game will be held on January 21 at 7:30 p.m. from Estero, Florida, the home of the Florida Everblades. The live audio play-by-play will be broadcast worldwide on the internet by Yahoo! Events (www.broadcast.com). In addition, the game can be heard live on 3WR, 910 AM in Roanoke and 990 AM in Blacksburg.
