2003 Compuware/ECHL All-Star Game Broadcasters Named

PRINCETON, N.J. – The East Coast Hockey League announced on Friday that Mike Kelly of Mississippi, David Miller of Greenville and Kevin Reiter of Roanoke have been selected as announcers for the audio broadcast of the 2003 Compuware/ECHL All-Star Game.

The 2003 Compuware/ECHL All-Star Game will be played at 7:30 p.m. ET on January 21. The game and the skills competition on January 20 will be hosted by the Florida Everblades at TECO Arena in Estero, Fla. For tickets, telephone (239) 948-7825 or log on to www.ticketmaster.com.

The audio broadcast will feature a play-by-play announcer, a color commentator, and a roving reporter who will be ice level interviewing players and coaches as well as representatives from the ECHL and the NHL. The live audio play-by-play will be broadcast worldwide on the Internet by Yahoo! Events (http://www.broadcast.com), marking the fifth consecutive year that Yahoo! has carried the ECHL All-Star Game audio live on the Internet. The live broadcast will begin at 7:15 p.m. ET with the pregame show. Following the live broadcast, the 2003 Compuware/ECHL All-Star Game will be available through on-demand for one year.

Kelly is in his third year as the voice of the Sea Wolves and his ninth season broadcasting hockey. Prior to Mississippi, he did play-by-play in the Ontario Hockey League with Barrie and Toronto St. Michael's, in the Colonial Hockey League with Brantford, and in the Ontario Hockey Association with Orangeville. He worked four years at The Sports Network in Toronto, and broadcast the 1997 Women's World Hockey Championship and Major League Roller Hockey in Toronto.

Miller is in his first season with the Grrrowl and his 12th season of broadcasting professional hockey. He began his career with Binghamton in the American Hockey League, working four seasons before becoming producer and host of the pregame and postgame shows for Buffalo of the National Hockey League. He did radio and television with Cleveland of the International Hockey League for three seasons before returning to Buffalo to host his own sports talk show, including postgame analysis of the Sabres and the Buffalo Bills.

Reiter is in his second stint with the Express, having served as the team's radio broadcaster and director of public relations in 2000-01. Reiter also serves as the play-by-play voice for the Salem Avalanche, an affiliate of the Houston Astros.
