Iowa Cubs News Release

Des Moines, IA- The Chicago Cubs swapped a pair of relievers between their two top affiliates today, assigning RH Ty'Relle Harris to double-A Tennessee and promoting RH Marcus Hatley to Iowa. Hatley will be available for the I-Cubs tonight in Oklahoma City as the team opens a four-game series with the RedHawks.

Hatley was 3-1 with a 3.40 ERA and four saves in 28 games with the Smokies this season. The Cubs drafted Hatley in the 39th round of the 2006 draft out of Palomar Community College in California and signed him in 2007 as a draft and follow player. Hatley's first appearance with Iowa will be his Triple-A debut.

Harris returns to the Smokies after pitching two scoreless innings in Albuquerque on Sunday. Harris has allowed one run on two hits in 7.1 innings in three games over two stints with Iowa this year. This will be his third stint at double-A after beginning the season with high-A Daytona.

The Cubs send RH Rodrigo Lopez (2-5, 4.83) to the mound tonight against RH Armando Galarraga (3-2, 4.43) for the RedHawks. The game will start at 7:05 at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark and will be broadcast live on AM 940 with the On-Deck Circle Pre-Game Show starting at 6:45.
