RedHawks Blast Past Cubs, 15-9

Oklahoma City, Okla. - The Oklahoma City RedHawks (58-44) snapped a four-game losing streak with a powerful night at the plate, downing the Iowa Cubs (41-63) 15-9 before 4,753 at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark Tuesday night.

Matt Dominguez finished with a season-high six RBIs, including his first home run as a RedHawk. Brett Wallace also drove in four runs, and six RedHawks finished with a multi-hit night.

Jimmy Paredes led off the bottom of the first with a home run to give the RedHakws the early lead. They extended their advantage to 5-0 heading to the fourth.

Iowa briefly took the lead with a six-run top of the fourth. They had six hits in the inning, including two by Wellington Castillo. Josh Vitters tied the game with a two-run single, and Castillo drove in the go-ahead run.

The RedHawks tied the game in the bottom of the inning when Mike Hessman drew a bases loaded walk. Wallace then put the RedHawks back in front with a two-run single.

Iowa's Brett Jackson tied the game in the sixth with a two-run homer.

The RedHawks started to assert control in their next at-bat. Brad Snyder led off the inning with a home run off Ryan Rowland-Smith (2-3) out to center field, about halfway up the berm. Dominguez later blasted a three-run homer to make it 12-8.

Oklahoma City added three more in the seventh, including a two-run double from Dominguez.

Sergio Perez (3-2) earned the win after pitching two innings of relief.
