Bowling Green Hot Rods News Release

Bowling Green, Ky. - A storm system featuring heavy rain moved through the South-Central Kentucky area just prior to Thursday night's scheduled first pitch, and the opening game was postponed between the Bowling Green Hot Rods (Class-A/Tampa Bay Rays) and Dayton Dragons (Cincinnati Reds). The two clubs will play a doubleheader on Friday evening beginning at 5 p.m. CT. at Bowling Green Ballpark.

Gates will open at 4:30 p.m. CT, and first pitch will be tossed at 5 p.m. CT. Both contests will be seven innings in length, and game two will begin approximately 30 minutes following the conclusion of game one. Fireworks Friday will be celebrated after game two thanks to WBKO and All-Hit WUHU 107.1.

The Hot Rods have won four of their past five games, and will look to continue that hot streak in Friday's doubleheader. D.J. Slaton and Jake Faria are scheduled to take the mound for Bowling Green. The homestand continues Friday, and extends all the way through the weekend wrapping up on Sunday afternoon. For tickets and more information, fans can logon to BGHotRods.com, call 270-901-2121, or stop by the Bowling Green Ballpark box office.
