Thursday, August 7, 2014 - Fort Wayne, Ind. - First Pitch 7:05 p.m. - Game 115/139

All 140 games air live on ESPN Radio 1380 (WKJG). All 70 home games are televised live on Comcast XFINITY Channel 81. Tonight's game will also air on Fort Wayne's MyTV.

About Last Game : The TinCaps' four-game win streak came to an end Wednesday afternoon against the Lansing Lugnuts in a 7-0 loss at Parkview Field. Fort Wayne managed only three hits on the day, while Lansing scored four times in the top of the ninth to make it a route.

A TinCaps Win Would : Be their 11th in their last 14... Put them in front of the Captains' in the MWL Eastern Division playoff race... Improve their record against Lake County at Parkview Field this year to 4-0.

Hot Takes : The TinCaps' 16-8 record since July 12 is tied for the 2nd best in the MWL in that time. Only Cedar Rapids (18-6) has been better, while West Michigan has the same mark. Fort Wayne has won 5 consecutive series.

Brasob-ON Fire : Jimmi Brasoban's ERA over his last 5 starts is 1.96. This success comes after his ERA was 12.79 in 5 starts and 1 relief appearance before that. In his most recent outing at West Michigan last Saturday, the 20-year-old righty tossed 6 scoreless innings. He actually allowed a season-high 8 hits and didn't strike out a single batter for the first time all year, but he also didn't walk anyone for the first time to help his cause. Brasoban has worked 6 innings in each of his last 3 starts.

Impeccable Pitching : Though he received a loss, Ronald Herrera continued Fort Wayne's recent run of strong starts on Wednesday. Over their last 23 games, the TinCaps' starters have allowed 3 ER or less 20 times.

Speak Softly : On this day in 1912, the Progressive Party nominated Theodore Roosevelt for President. (He'd lose to Woodrow Wilson.) On Wednesday, the TinCaps didn't heed Mr. Roosevelt's famous words and carried little sticks. Fort Wayne had just 3 hits against Lansing.

The Other Guys : The Captains are an affiliate of the Cleveland Indians and feature 4 of the Tribe's Top 20 prospects, per MLB.com. Outfielder Clint Frazier (Loganville, GA), who was the 5th overall pick and 1st high schooler selected in the 2013 Draft, headlines the list as Cleveland's 2nd-ranked prospect. Outfielder Dorssys Paulino (Bani, Dominican Republic) is tabbed as the No. 13 Indians prospect, while outfielder Mike Papi (Tunkhannock, PA) is No. 15 after he was drafted out of Virginia in June. Left-handed starting pitcher Luis Lugo - not scheduled to appear in this series - is the Indians' No. 20 prospect.
