Hoorelbeke Hits Game-Winning Double In Tenth To Extend Win Streak To Four

FARGO, N.D. - A game-winning double by Jesse Hoorelbeke in the tenth inning gives the RedHawks (6-6) a 6-5 win over the Winnipeg Goldeyes (7-5) at Newman Outdoor Field in Fargo, N.D. The win extended their win streak to four games.

The RedHawks were led all night by Zach Penprase who went 3-for-4 with a three-run home run and three runs scored. Penprase also had a sac bunt in the tenth inning to put Mike Coles, the game-winning run, on second base. Hoorelbeke's double was his first hit of the game ended up being the most important hit of the game.

Alex Caldera (1-0) earned the win for the RedHawks, pitching 2.0 innings while allowing only one hit, no runs, and piling up three strikeouts. Aaron Hartsock (0-1) gets the loss.

Errors were rampant tonight as the teams combined for seven total. Laber, the RedHawks starting pitcher, had two errors himself and allowed the Goldeyes to score three unearned runs. The Goldeyes were responsible for the other five errors. The RedHawks scored two unearned because of those errors

The RedHawks will host the Goldeyes tomorrow night at Newman Outdoor Field for the third game of this four-game series. Alex Kaminsky (0-0, 2.61) is scheduled to take the mound for the RedHawks against Chris Salamida (1-0, 3.27). Game time is 7:02 pm.
