Grand Prairie AirHogs News Release

SIOUX CITY, Iowa -- The Grand Prairie AirHogs are rolling out a little home cooking for the defending American Association Shreveport-Bossier Captains, who make their first visit to QuikTrip Park this weekend. The three-game series, starting on Friday, May 27, has three great promotions for fans at QuikTrip Park, highlighted by Saturday night's "Cajun Invasion."

The series begins at 7:05 on Friday, with Teacher Appreciation Night, with all teachers with ID getting $5 box seats. It is also Church Youth Group Night and High School Senior Night sponsored by North Lake College, with all high school seniors getting $2 box seats.

Saturday will feature the usual Fireworks Saturday Night, along with the "Cajun Invasion," sponsored by Coors Light. Fans will be able to purchase $10 plates from Crawdad's! of Dallas, which will have 1.5 pounds of crawfish, with corn and potatoes. There will also be zydeco music and other themed promotions.

The series concludes with another Pepsi Family Day, featuring $1 hot dogs and Pepsi products, as well as a chance to play catch on the field before the game.

The AirHogs are also introducing a new feature to QuikTrip Park for this series - the Officers Club. The all-you-can-eat-and-drink buffet located on the suite level of QuikTrip Park will feature great food like tetrazzini, lasagna, beans, hot dogs, hamburgers, and all the fixings, along with unlimited Pepsi products, draft beer and margaritas. Tickets are only $40 per adult and $30 for children and season-ticket holders. Seating is limited, so reserve your tickets for the rest of the season today!

Jason Jennings

On the field, the AirHogs made some roster moves before Tuesday's game at Sioux City, placing pitcher Scot Drucker on the inactive list, with Drucker headed to a team in Taiwan, while signing infielder Chad Bisnette and pitcher Jason Jennings. Bisnette had played in two games for the Explorers this year, and was first noticed by manager Ricky VanAsselberg at the California Winter League.

Jennings, the 2002 National League Rookie of the Year, spent nine seasons in the Major Leagues, most recently in 2009. He was in triple-A Sacramento (Oakland organization) last season. The 32-year-old righthander is expected to throw at most 50 pitches in is AirHogs debut.

The AirHogs continue their three-game series with the Sioux City Explorer at 7:05 p.m. on Tuesday, May 24. The next home game at QuikTrip Park is Friday, May 27, against the defending champion Shreveport-Bossier Captains at 7:05 p.m. That night is another Teacher Appreciation Night, with all teachers with ID getting $5 box seats. It is also Church Youth Group Night. Don't miss the renewed commitment to excellence and affordable family entertainment. All games are available with live, free streaming video on ustream.tv.
