Home stand recognized outstanding students

Omaha Storm Chasers News Release


OMAHA – The Omaha Royals will recognize several hundred metro area elementary school students for their hard work in the classroom at two games during the team's upcoming home stand at Rosenblatt Stadium. The students, selected by a teacher or principal within their school, received a complimentary ticket to the May 3rd or May 8th game. The students will also be recognized in pre-game parades on the field and also receive vouchers for a free hot dog and Coca-Cola. During the home stand, which runs from next Monday through Monday, May 9th, the Royals take on the Memphis Redbirds and Nashville Sounds in a pair of four-game series:

Monday, May 2, 7:05 p.m.: The Memphis series opener is $1 Hot Dog Night!

Tuesday, May 3, 7:05 p.m.: Outstanding Student Night, presented by Nebraska Wesleyan University...it's also Movie and a Ballgame Night...see Wild Safari 3D at Omaha Zoo's Lozier IMAX Theater at 6 p.m., followed by the Royals game...call 330-IMAX for tickets!

Wednesday, May 4, 7:05 p.m.: Gates open at 6 p.m. for game 3 of the series vs. Memphis.

Thursday, May 5, 12:05 p.m..: The Businessperson's Special is presented by Mail Solutions and Z-92, with ½ price hamburgers courtesy of Omaha Steaks!

Friday, May 6, 7:05 p.m.: The series opener vs. Nashville features post-game fireworks, courtesy of KAT 103, Cardiovascular Health Department and Cox Communications!

Saturday, May 7, 6:05 p.m.: Gates open at 4 p.m. and the 1st 1,500 fans receive Omaha Royals navy blue trucker caps, brought to you by Lite 101.9 and OmahaCars.com.

Sunday, May 8, 1:35 p.m.: The 2nd Outstanding Student Day presented by Nebraska Wesleyan University, plus it's Family Fun Day...all kids are invited to run the bases after the game, sponsored by 100.7 FM KGBI and KPTM!

Monday, May 9, 11:05 a.m.: It's another Businessperson's Special, featuring ½ price hamburgers courtesy of Omaha Steaks!
