Home Runs for Autism Jersey Auction Opens

DUNEDIN, FL - The Dunedin Blue Jays are excited to announce that online bidding for the team's 'Home Runs for Autism' jersey auction has officially opened.

Fans may visit dunedinbluejays.wix.com/jerseyauction to make submissions on any one of 28 jerseys on the site, including players and coaches. Those wishing to bid on jerseys may also visit Dunedinbluejays.com which has a link to the jersey auction website. Online bidding on jerseys will run until August 28th when the Dunedin Blue Jays host the Lakeland Flying Tigers at 6:30PM on Autism Awareness Night.

Online bidding will close at 5:00PM August 28th, at which point, a live auction will begin at 5:30PM at Florida Auto Exchange Stadium and conclude following the final out of the fifth inning. Online bids will take precedent over live auction bids due to online bidding closing at 5:00PM.

All jerseys auctioned off will be signed by the player and coach wearing it on the night of Autism Awareness and will come complete with a certificate of authenticity.

All proceeds from the 'Home Runs for Autism' jersey auction will benefit Autism Spectrum Disorder programs of Dunedin Elementary and San Jose Elementary.

Bidding on all jerseys will open at $50 and increase by $10 increments. Due to daily player transactions, bids on jerseys of players who have been moved will be cleared from online bidding. Bidding will begin at $50 for the player who takes over the jersey number.
