Saginaw Spirit News Release

The fourth annual Saginaw Spirit PINK OUT Breast Cancer Awareness Game is set for Saturday, October 9, with the Spirit partnering with the St. Mary's of Michigan Seton Cancer Institute to raise funds and awareness in the fight against Breast Cancer. The Spirit will take on the Guelph Storm at 7:11 PM wearing special PINK OUT jerseys that will be auctioned off post game with the proceeds going to the cause.

The women of the Hockey Angels will also be joining in on the action, participating in a charity hockey game at 4:30 PM prior to the Spirit game. Fans with a ticket for that night's Spirit game can get into the arena early to check out the Hockey Angels.

"The Breast Cancer Awareness night is something we are proud of being a part of," stated Dr. Kris Spence of Women's OB-GYN, P.C. in Saginaw and a Hockey Angels organizer, "We are a group of women playing hockey to help find a cure so we can put Breast Cancer on ice."
