Calgary Hitmen News Release

Calgary, AB - For the first time since late in the 2018-19 season the Calgary Hitmen have won five games in a row. The club kept their hot streak going with a 5-1 win over the Medicine Hat Tigers on Friday night at Seven Chiefs Sportsplex on Tsuut'ina Nation.

Ten different Hitmen collected at least a point with captain Riley Fiddler-Schultz leading the charge with a goal and two assists. Ethan Moore with his first career WHL goal, Oliver Tulk, Sean Tschigerl and Carter Yakemchuk rounded out the scoring. Rookie London Hoilett continued his strong play adding a pair of assists to run his point streak to three games.

Special teams were a primary driver for Calgary, killing all six shorthanded situations while adding a pair of power play markers and a shorthanded tally.

Brayden Peters, the reigning WHL goaltender of the week, picked up the victory, turning aside 26 shots on a night where the Hitmen outshot the visitors 35-27.

Calgary, now 8-4-1-1, will enjoy a full eight-day break before starting their U.S. Division road trip in Kent, Washington against the Seattle Thunderbirds on Saturday, Nov. 12. The five-game journey will be played in only eight days.
