Calgary Hitmen News Release

Calgary, AB - The Calgary Hitmen returned from their Saskatchewan road-trip facing off against the Moose Jaw Warriors at the Scotiabank Saddledome. Despite outshooting Moose Jaw 31-20, the Warriors came out victorious in a score of 4-1.

Moose Jaw opened up the scoring with a goal from Josh Hoekstra at the five minute mark, coming out of the first with the lead after only registering five shots in the period.

Moose Jaw's second and third goals of the game came in the second period from Nathan Pilling and Majid Kaddoura. In the last seconds of the period, Grayden Siepmann netted his sixth of season with helpers from Maxim Muranov and Blake Heward cutting the lead to two goals.

Siepmann's goal would prove to be the lone Hitmen goal, as the third period remained scoreless until an empty net from Moose Jaw putting them up by three to secure the win.

Calgary will now enter a full four-day break before kicking off a busy three-game weekend when they welcome the Lethbridge Hurricanes to Scotiabank Saddledome on Friday, Jan. 28 for a 7:00 p.m. start. The Hitmen then visit Medicine Hat on Saturday, Jan. 29 before returning to the 'Dome to host Swift Current on Sunday, Jan. 30 at 4:00 p.m.
