Calgary, AB - The Calgary Hitmen fell 3-1 to the Swift Current Broncos in the Lunar Celebration game presented by GlobalFest, Trico Homes and Canada Safeway Ltd. Friday night at the Scotiabank Saddledome.
Graham Black opened the scoring for the visitors, netting an early first period power play marker, before Victor Rask, with his 12th of the season, drew even 29 seconds later. Adam Lowry and Calgary Flames' prospect Coda Gordon also scored for the Broncos in the win.
Chris Driedger made 17 saves for the Hitmen as Calgary outshot Swift Current 37-20.
The Hitmen will now depart on a three-game road swing, with stops in Medicine Hat (Mar. 3), Saskatoon (Mar. 5) and Prince Albert (Mar. 6).
Calgary returns to the Scotiabank Saddledome on Saturday, March 9 when the Hitmen host the Lethbridge Hurricanes, with a 7 p.m. puck drop.
