Hillcats and Red Sox Postponed on Thursday

Lynchburg, Va. - Tonight's game between the Lynchburg Hillcats and the Salem Red Sox has been postponed due to rain. The game will be made up when the Hillcats visit Salem during the final series of the year on August 31-September 3.

Thursday marks the fifth straight home game that was impacted by rain, including delays, a suspension and postponement.

The Hillcats begin a six-game road trip on Friday, starting with a three-game set in Buies Creek to take on the Astros.

Left-hander Anderson Polanco (1-1, 3.91) will start for Lynchburg against right-hander Tyler Ivey (2-3, 2.68) for Buies Creek. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m.

Max Gun will be on the air at 5:50 p.m. with the Hillcats pre-game show on TuneIn Radio and the Radio434 App.

Lynchburg returns home on Friday, August 10. It will Be Margaritaville Night, featuring a live cover band pre-game, as well as $8 beeritas and concession deals. There will also be a t-shirt giveaway to the first 1,000 fans.
