Hershey Bears News Release
HERSHEY opened the scoring in the first period at the 6:08 mark when Martin Hlinka drove to the net from the left circle and slipped a puck underneath Penguin goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury. Marek Svatos and Brett Clark assisted on the goal as the BEARS took a 1-0 lead. HERSHEY then added a second goal when Svatos got the puck on his stick in the high slot and beat Fleury to add to the lead. Wilkes-Barre outshot HERSHEY 18-6 in the second period, but Peter Budaj was able to stop every shot he saw to keep the BEARS up by two after two periods.
The BEARS will host the Bridgeport Sound Tigers on Saturday night at 7:00 p.m. at GIANT Center. Tickets are available at the GIANT Center box office or by calling (717) 534-3911.
