Houston Aeros News Release
HOUSTON, Texas â The Houston Aeros are asking fans to bring in children's books to the team's games on Friday, Feb. 18 and Saturday, Feb. 19. The books will benefit Mathis Elementary's annual Book Drive. Several members of the Aeros front office volunteer their time each week as part of Mathis' HOSTS program.
Books needed are those by Margaret Hillert (0.5-1.9 grade level), Norman Bridwell (1.0-2.0 grade level) and Paulette Bourgeois and Brenda Clark (2.0-3.0 grade level).
The Aeros will also take cash donations at the game and will purchase additional books with that money.
