Toledo Mud Hens News Release
Today the Toledo Mud Hens are pleased to unveil the logos for Hensville, Hensville Park and the new restaurant, NINE at Hensville.
Hensville is a revitalization project that in spring 2016 will see three historic buildings along St. Clair Street transformed into an entertainment district that will include Hensville Park and NINE.
"The design of this family of logos captures the essence of this project by creating memorable brands that are fresh and new while rooted in the rich heritage of the Warehouse District," says Dan Royer, Creative Director and Designer.
The HENSVILLE logo sets the stage for the brand. It has a simple modern feel while giving a subtle nod to baseball. It complements the iconic Mud Hens logo which is known and recognized worldwide.
The HENSVILLE PARK logo mixes an airy organic design with vintage characteristics. Using green for color was a natural fit for the brand and Hensville Park-- which will be "planted" at the corner of Summit and Monroe Streets. Green symbolizes new growth and freshness.
The new restaurant NINE at Hensville will be an "upscale casual" eatery housed in the circa- 1867 Warehouse district "meat house" featuring New American dishes made with fabulous cuts of meats and interesting sides using the freshest of ingredients.
The NINE at Hensville logo visually represents the atmosphere and menu for the new restaurant - simplistic clean lines, a strong black and white color scheme mixed with interesting negative space lettering.
Hensville which will also feature rooftop decks overlooking Fifth Third Field, expanded banquet and retail space, and leased office space, is expected to draw 150,000 more people to downtown Toledo each year.
