
Hawks Drop 6-5 Decision in Spokane Wednesday

The Portland Winterhawks (29-22-1-2) dropped a 6-5 decision to the Spokane Chiefs (22-23-6-2) Wednesday in a road contest played in Spokane.
Despite the loss, Alex Overhardt once again was a key spark in the Hawks offensive efforts with his two goals tonight, while Colton Veloso extended his goal streak to three consecutive games. On the Portland blueline, defenseman Brendan De Jong netted a goal and added an assist, while Caleb Jones posted two assists.
The Hawks return to action Friday when they host the Spokane Chiefs at the Moda Center at 7 pm.
