Pats Shutout Hitmen

Regina, Saskatchewan - Sam Steel and Connor Hobbs had four points apiece, Tyler Brown made 28 saves for the shutout and the Pats won their ninth straight game, 4-0 over the Calgary Hitmen on Wednesday night. Sam Steel got the scoring started with a highlight reel goal halfway through the first. Regina added two powerplay goals late in the frame and led 3-0. It stayed that way until the third when Connor Hobbs hammered home his 23rd of the season, also on the powerplay to make it 4-0 and that was the final score. The Pats outshot the Hitmen 30-28 in the win, the powerplay was three for six and the penalty kill was a perfect six for six. Regina will continue their road trip in Edmonton on Friday against the Oil Kings at 8 p.m. on 620 CKRM.
