
Hamilton Travels To Rochester; Hosts Syracuse This Week

Hamilton Bulldogs News Release
The Hamilton Bulldogs (American Hockey League affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens) will venture to Rochester to battle the Americans (AHL affiliate of the Florida Panthers) on Tuesday, November 10th at 7:05 p.m. The club will then be off until Saturday, November 14th when they host the Syracuse Crunch (AHL affiliate of the Columbus Blue Jackets) at 7:00 p.m. at Copps Coliseum.
Last week, Hamilton had a 1-1-0-0 record in two games. The 'Dogs travelled to Montreal to host the Binghamton Senators at Bell Centre on Friday, November 6th where they suffered their first loss in regulation dropping a 2-1 decision. On Sunday, November 8th the Bulldogs defeated the Senators 1-0 at Scotiabank Place in Ottawa.
FACEBOOK AND TWITTER CONTEST WINNERS TO BE ANNOUNCED TUESDAY DURING BULLDOGS GAME
During tomorrow night's broadcast of the Hamilton Bulldogs game versus the Rochester Americans, Derek Wills and Al Craig will draw the winners of the 'Dogs Facebook and Twitter contests. Everyone that became a fan of the Bulldogs on Facebook before October 31st will be put into a draw to win an autographed 2008-2009 Hamilton Bulldogs game-worn jersey. All fans that signed up to follow Derek Wills on Twitter before October 31st will be entered into a draw to win a 2008-2009 team autographed stick and a certificate to join Derek Wills and Al Craig in the broadcast booth at a Hamilton Bulldogs 2009-2010 home game.

BULLDOGS NOTES:
- D P.K. Subban recorded his first-career AHL goal in Friday's 2-1 loss to the Binghamton Senators at Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec.
- The Bulldogs suffered their first regulation loss and had their 11-game point streak snapped with their 2-1 loss on Friday.
- The 14, 702 fans that attended the game at Bell Centre on Friday is the second highest attendance for a Bulldogs home game. The record is 15,119 which was on March 26, 2004 at Copps Coliseum versus the St. John's Maple Leafs.

- Syracuse is currently in 7th spot in the Eastern Conference's East Division with a 4-6-2-1 record and 11 points

- Hamilton holds a slim advantage in the all-time series against the Crunch with a 43-39-11-1-2 record
- LW Alexandre Picard (5-5-10) is currently leading the Crunch in scoring with ten points in 12 games played

There are over 40 former Bulldogs on 2009-2010 National Hockey League rosters. Over 60 percent of all former 'Dogs have played in at least one NHL game. Here are a few highlights and accomplishments of ex-'Dogs from this past week:
- The Montreal Canadiens recalled three Bulldogs last week, as D Mathieu Carle, C Tom Pyatt, and C Ryan White stepped onto NHL ice for the first time. Carle in the lineup for the Habs' 5-4 loss to Atlanta (Nov. 3). He finished the game +1. Two nights later, Pyatt and White got in on the action as White assisted on the Canadiens' only regulation goal, and helped Montreal squeak out a 2-1 SOW over Boston (Nov. 5).
- Edmonton RW Zack Stortini dished out an assist an was +1 as the Oilers fell to the New York Islanders 3-1 (Nov. 2)
- Montreal LW Andrei Kostitsyn had an assist in the Canadiens' 2-1 SOW over Boston (Nov. 5)
- New York Rangers LW Chris Higgins scored a goal and recorded two shots on net in a 4-1 loss to Vancouver (Nov. 3)=A1=A6 two nights later, Higgins found the back of the net once again, and had six shots on net, guiding the Rangers to a 4-2 win over Edmonton (Nov. 5)
- Atlanta D Ron Hainsey had a productive week, as he registered assists in losses to Columbus (Nov. 5) and Tampa Bay (Nov. 7), and scored one goal in a 3-2 SOW over St. Louis (Nov. 8)
- Boston LW Steve Begin had two assists, two shots on goal, and finished +1 as the Bruins defeated Buffalo 4-2 (Nov. 7)
- Toronto D Francois Beauchemin had an assist in both the Leafs' 2-1 OTL to Tampa Bay (Nov. 3) and 5-1 win over Detroit (Nov. 7), while registering over 24 minutes of ice-time in both contests
- Montreal C Tomas Plekanec scored a goal, put up three shots on net, and was +1 as the Canadiens fell to the Atlanta Thrashers (Nov. 3)
- Nashville G Dan Ellis made 27 saves and backstopped the Predators to a 3-1 victory over Los Angeles (Nov. 7)
- Columbus LW Raffi Torres had another multi-point game, as he scored twice and was +2 with four shots on net in the Blue Jackets' 4-3 win over Atlanta (Nov. 5)
- Dallas C Mike Ribeiro had one helper in a 2-1 win over Vancouver (Nov. 6) and added another assist in the Stars' 3-2 L to Minnesota (Nov. 7)
- Los Angeles C Jarrett Stoll scored a goal, had an assist, was +1, and put up two shots on net in the Kings' 5-2 win over Pittsburgh=A1=A6 he then had another assist as the Kings lost to Nashville 3-1 (Nov. 7)
- Columbus LW Jason Chimera had three points in two nights, as he scored in a 3-2 loss to San Jose (Nov. 4) and dished out two assists while finishing +2 in the Blue Jackets' 4-3 win over Atlanta (Nov. 5)
- Detroit RW Dan Cleary scored the Red Wings' lone goal as the Leafs took the Hall of Fame Game 5-1 (Nov. 7)
- Nashville D Francis Bouillon picked up his first goal of the season and added three shots on net as the Predators beat the Kings 3-1 (Nov. 7)
- Toronto C Mikhail Grabovski had two assists in as many nights as the Leafs got on the winning track, defeating Carolina 3-2 (Nov. 6) and Detroit 5-1 (Nov. 7)
- Columbus D Jan Hejda had an assist, was +1, and had a shot on goal while recording 25:42 in total ice time as the Blue Jackets defeated Atlanta 4-3 (Nov. 5)
- Montreal C Maxim Lapierre assisted on a goal and had two shots on net as the Canadiens fell to the Thrashers 5-4 (Nov. 3)
- Columbus G Mathieu Garon made 32 saves and got the win as the Blue Jackets beat Atlanta 4-3 (Nov. 5)
- Atlanta C Marty Reasoner had an assist and three shots on net as the Thrashers prevailed over Montreal 5-4 (Nov. 3)=A1=A6 he then dished out two more helpers while recording two shots on net and finishing +2 in a 3-2 SOW over St. Louis (Nov. 8)
- Dallas D Trevor Daley had an assist and three shots on net while seeing 23:16 of total ice time in a 3-2 OTL to Calgary (Nov. 4)
- Montreal G Carey Price stood tall and made 42 saves while stopping all three shootout attempts in a 2-1 SOW over Boston (Nov. 5)
