Hamilton, Collins and Colliton Return From Islanders

BRIDGEPORT, CT - The American Hockey League's Bridgeport Sound Tigers, top affiliate of the National Hockey League's New York Islanders, have announced the return of forwards Jeff Hamilton, Rob Collins and Jeremy Colliton from the big club. The Islanders had recalled the trio, along with Wyatt Smith, following the Sound Tigers' 5-2 home win over the Lowell Lock Monsters this past Friday.

This was the second stint with the Islanders for Hamilton, who appeared in one game for them in December of 2003. He scored his first NHL goal in the Islanders' 5-4 home win over the Colorado Avalanche Saturday and added two assists in their 9-6 road loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs Monday. Hamilton has scored a team-leading ten goals and also has eight assists and 18 points in 15 AHL games with the Sound Tigers this season.

Saturday marked the NHL debut of Collins. He also notched his first big-league point with an assist on former Sound Tiger Eric Godard's goal and scored his first NHL goal Monday. Collins leads the Sound Tigers with 19 assists and 26 points and has also scored seven goals in 27 AHL games this season.

Colliton has now been recalled three times by the Islanders during his rookie season. He has skated in four NHL games and has notched seven goals, 12 assists and 19 points in 28 AHL games to lead all Sound Tigers rookies in scoring.

The Sound Tigers will play the middle contests of a four-game homestand when they host the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins this Wednesday at 7:05 p.m. and the Hartford Wolf Pack this Friday at 7:35 p.m. Information about Sound Tigers ticket packages and promotions is available by calling 203-334-GOAL or emailing info@soundtigers.com.
