Through Toys for Tots, U.S. Marines have been bringing the joy of Christmas to America's neediest children each year for the past 57 years. From 1947 through 2004, Marines distributed over 332.5 million toys to more than 158.8 million needy children. One of the goals of the program is to deliver a message of hope that will inspire youngsters to grow into responsible, productive, patriotic citizens and community leaders.
This year Marines are conducting the 58th annual Toys for Tots campaign. In addition to striving to reach millions of needy children nationwide, Marines will strive to bring the joy of Christmas to the thousands of children whose families lost everything as a result of the hurricanes of the summer of 2005.
The P-Bruins return home to the Dunkin' Donuts Center for two games this week. The P-Bruins host the Manchester Monarchs on Wednesday, December 21 at 7:05 p.m. and the Springfield Falcons on Friday, December 23 at 7:05 p.m. Tickets are available for all Providence Bruins home games online at providencebruins.com, at the Dunkin' Donuts Center box office and at all TicketMaster outlets.
