Hamilton's first tilt of the week against the Rochester Americans ended in a 7-0 victory for the 'Dogs. Seven different players on the club added a goal starting with Aaron Palushaj and Olivier Fortier, who each tallied one in the first period. In the second frame Ryan Russell, J.T. Wyman, Andreas Engqvist, Frederic St. Denis and Mathieu Carle contributed with goals. Both teams were held off of the score sheet in the third ending the game by a score of 7-0 for the 'Dogs. Friday's battle against the Connecticut Whale was another high scoring affair. Hunter Bishop began the scoring for Hamilton less than two minutes into the game. Aaron Palushaj followed just over a minute later to give the Bulldogs a 2-0 lead and Brendon Nash quickly extending the lead by three. The Whale fought their way back with two goals before the first had ended and added another quick one to start the second period. With the score tied at three Hamilton responded with four unanswered goals from J.T. Wyman, Dany Masse and two from Ben Maxwell giving the 'Dogs a 7-3 victory. The Bulldogs continued on the road visiting the Adirondack Phantoms for a game on Saturday, January 22nd. Ben Maxwell scored the only goal of the first frame to give the Bulldogs a 1-0 lead going into the second. The Phantoms tallied three in the middle frame before Hamilton came back to tie it in the third with goals from Kyle Klubertanz and Hunter Bishop. The game was forced to a shootout as no team could decide a victor in overtime. Goaltender Robert Mayer stopped all four shots for the 'Dogs while Aaron Palushaj and Dustin Boyd scored to solidify a 4-3 win for the Hamilton Bulldogs.
