
Barons Assign Two to Stockton; Will Make Appearance at VA Hospital Tomorrow

Oklahoma City - The Oklahoma City Barons assigned defensemen Jordan Bendfeld and Mark Arcobello to the Stockton Thunder of the ECHL, the Barons general manager Bill Scott announced today.
Bendfeld, a 6-3, 245-pounder from Leduc, Alberta has appeared in 16 games for the Barons this season, totaling 35 penalty minutes. He was recalled November 16. With Stockton this season, he has appeared in five games, registering 22 penalty minutes.
Arcobello, a 5-9, 165-pounder from Milton, Conn. was recalled by the Barons January 11. He appeared in the Barons 4-3 shootout win over Milwaukee on January 20. With the Thunder, he has appeared in 29 games, registering 16 points (6-10-16). Arcobello, was named to the ECHL All Star Team earlier this month. He is expected to return to the west coast in time for the ECHL All Star game this Wednesday in Bakersfield.
The Barons recently completed a seven-game road trip that saw them win six of the seven games. They gained valuable points in the ever-tightening Western Division race. Presently, the top seven teams in the division are separated by only four points.
This week, the Barons are home for three games, starting Wednesday at 7:05 p.m. against the Chicago Wolves. Friday, the Barons take on the Texas Stars at 6:05 p.m. The week concludes Saturday against the Wolves at 7:05 p.m.
-Barons- Community Note: Five members of the Oklahoma City Barons hockey team will visit the VA Hospital at 921 NE 13th St. tomorrow from 2 - 3:30 p.m. The players will receive a tour of the different areas of the hospital and will meet with patients and their families.
