SCHAUMBURG, IL - The Schaumburg Boomers, presented by Wintrust Community Banks, lead off the month at Boomers Stadium with six straight tilts against the Southern Illinois Miners August 4-6 and the Washington Wild Things August 7-9.
Following a pair of 6:30 PM games August 4 and August 5, the Boomers host the Guys Night remote control dig August 6, presented by JULIE 811 and Aaron's. Following that night's 6:30 PM game against the Miners, all male Boomers fans 18 and over will have a chance to come onto the field and scour the infield for the remote control to a brand new flat screen TV courtesy of Aaron's.
Star Wars Theme Night returns to Boomers Stadium Friday, August 7, with an appearance by the 501st Legion, a Star Wars Imperial costuming club. Post-game fireworks and the final overnight Scouting campout of the season conclude the series opener, which is set to begin at 6:00 PM.
The fun continues Saturday, August 8 at Boomers Stadium with an appearance by The Zooperstars during that night's 6:00 PM contest against Washington. Fans are encouraged to participate in the Boomers third annual post-game Marshmallow Fight in the Boomers Stadium outfield, with fireworks presented by Wintrust Community Banks preceding the marshmallow fight.
Sunday, August 9, wraps up the Boomers latest six game stretch with a Scavenger Hunt as part of yet another Family Sunday discount deal. Four tickets, four hot dogs, and four sodas are just $39 with a post-game autograph session presented by Wintrust Community Banks following the game.
The Boomers (26-37) hit the road for three games with the Gateway Grizzlies beginning on Friday night at 7:05 p.m. Hear all of the action on AM 1410 WRMN with the voice of the Boomers, Tim Calderwood.
